Letter from Ali Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, part 2

For the first time in history a president of a country visited a person that is accused of a crime in prison because he knew and was sure that my dad was not guilty .

He said to him I know you are not guilty. The injustice that is happening to you has happened to me before

You will always be a symbol for Libya because you are a man who was wrongfully accused. You sacrificed yourself for Libya and for the Libyan people and I'm proud because you hung on and stayed strong.
Ali Abdel Baset al-Megrahi

Because its hard to take this decision for the country or your life so you did something that is historical and I will never forget it my whole life.

These are the words of Nelson Mandela to my dad Abdelbasset al Megrahi.

With grateful thanks to the Friends of Justice for Megrahi: https://www.facebook.com/groups/161241207237021/

  1. That was a very nice letter Ali. Not all western people are bad. There are many like the members of JFM who realising your father was innocent tried to do something about it. Unfortunately the "people" behind the framing of your father and Libya are all powerful in the US and Britain so as far as those two countries are concerned you will never get justice or the truth from them. The prize was your countries Oil and Gas something these people have been after for many years having had it nationalised by Gaddafi and the oil money spent on improving Libya's infrastructure. For years they have been planning how to regain control of it and framing your father and Libya for the Lockerbie bombing was a first step to regaining control which they now have. To find out the real truth you will need help from outside these two countries by some government who will stand up against them for what is right.Your father was a very good man and was rightly praised by Nelson Mandela for what he did.
